About the Opportunity:

As a true hybrid designer, you possess a solid visual design background with strong typography, colors, grid system, and layout. You find joy in empathizing with and learning from user types, and your portfolio displays a strong understanding of design research, user experience, and visual design principles. Above all, you are excited about creating experiences that will help users positively meet their goals and engage with our brand.
The hybrid designer will report to the Creative Director and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team of strategists, project managers, designers, writers and developers.
The university is primarily in-person with reasonable flexibility. This position has a hybrid option.

Responsibilities:

Work with discipline leads to strategize and plan Provide visual expertise to multidisciplinary projects, UX wireframes and visual design Present designs solutions to team members and team leads – gather feedback and iterate

Collaborate with developers, sharing design ideas and prototypes to determine Document specs, prepare assets, and work with the development team to implement new designs Concept and author new components and patterns within the design system structure

 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in multiple areas of design including UX, UI, branding or editorial in which proficiency in typography, color theory, and layout are demonstrated
• Solid experience and understanding of user-centric design
• Demonstration of delivering exceptional user-centered outcomes
• Proficiency in tools of the trade: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)




Preferred Qualifications:

 Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• 4+ years of experience using brand standards and design systems, including accessibility and globalization
• Experience in an enterprise design role

• Strong concepting and presentation skills
• Successful track record participating in interdisciplinary teams informed by stakeholder and user inputs
