About the Opportunity:

Our Pharmaceutical Care Laboratory provides courses with simulations of various areas of practice and is designed to provide students the skills and experience needed for their field of study. Lab instructors assist the course coordinators in implementing the various activities that are incorporated into each laboratory session. 

 

Responsibilities:      

Teach and/or provide support to course and lab coordinators in pharmacy practice. Duties may include assisting with lectures or seminars, assisting with grading, and providing oral and written feedback to students.

 

Lab Experience activities include:

 

  • Acting as the prescriber to respond to students requests for more information or to change medication orders.
  • Evaluating interactions between students and standardized patients that are used in the lab.
  • Evaluate the final outcome of medication orders and other related pharmacy activities.
  • Evaluate students’ ability to provide “case presentations”.
  • Evaluate students performing various physical assessment activities.

Assist in various other laboratory activities.

 

Qualifications:

Ability to maintain a specified character and follow case script

Ability to recall case information and role-play scenarios

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience facilitating a course/training.
