The Trade Operations staff service and maintain over 8 million square feet of academic, residential and administrative facilities. Position’s primary responsibility is coordinating and assigning workorders to the 2nd shift multi discipline trade staff. The staff includes Plumbers, Mechanics, Electricians and HVAC technicians. The 2nd Shift Maintenance Foreperson shall assign & complete his / her trade specific assigned workorders during the 2nd shift. Coordinate the 2nd shift trade staff and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks pertaining to the 2nd shift trades. The 2nd shift Maintenance Foreperson will be the “link” between Facilities Customer Service Center and the 2nd shift trade staff.
Sr Capital Projects Manager Boston Main Campus
Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President Planning Design & Construction, this position is responsible for the management of capital projects including large and complex multi-million-dollar projects. Project types include research and teaching laboratories, student housing, classrooms, offices as well as specialized construction. The position will contribute to the development and organization of project management processes and procedures to support the activities of the Capital Projects Group.
Industrial Safety Program Manager Boston Main Campus
The Industrial Safety Program Manager will provide risk assessment support and risk management guidance to Facilities Services across various occupational health and safety programs to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as promote an enhanced safety culture. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Operations. Industrial safety programs geared towards trades worker activities require, in general, the technical insight on the recognition, evaluation, and control of hazards associated with trades work Anticipation of changes in work processes requires applying management of change principles to counteract potential for work related injury or illness, or otherwise affect the well-being of workers.
Project Manager Boston Main Campus
The Project Manager is the key liaison between the University, consultants and contractors. The Project Manager will oversee procurement of services, project administration, determining of scope, administering contracts, resolving of conflicts and in the assurance of the work being completed on time and on budget of contract. In either a leadership and/or management capacity, the Project Manager may be involved in any or all of the following: contract scope definitions, contract negotiations, contract administration, payment process, change order control, cost control, schedule control and quality control. Develop and prioritize programs/projects according to relevant measurement criteria. Direct the forecast and adjustment of resources to ensure projects and programs are delivered as promised. Partner with Director of Work Management to develop metrics that provide meaningful data to validate expected outcomes and develop recommendations to provide corrective action. The Project Manager performs primary responsibilities personally or through administrative and technical assistants, and other project personnel.
HVAC Systems Technician Boston Main Campus
Under the general supervision of the HVAC Supervisor, perform a variety of duties to install, maintain, operate, upgrade, diagnose and repair pneumatic, electric and electronic HVAC systems within the University.
Environmental Program Manager Boston Main Campus
The Environmental Program Manager (EPM) reports to the Associate Vice President of Operations and is tasked with ensuring university compliance with both internal and external environmental requirements through tracking environmental compliance laws and regulations that might affect the organization’s policies or practices and developing programs to meet compliance objectives. The EPM assists operations management in maintaining compliance with air quality, wastewater and storm water permits, solid and hazardous waste management, hazardous material spill prevention and response, above ground and underground storage tank management, transportation of hazardous materials, and emergency response planning. The EPM is also tasked with evaluating the sustainability of university operations and developing programs that continually improve the university’s environmental record.
