This position will utilize a combination of electrophysiology (patch-clamp and TEVC) and microscopy (single-molecule TIRF microscopy, FRET and calcium imaging) to study the regulation and pharmacology of ion channels in neurons and cardiomyocytes. We utilize high-resolution structural data to determine molecular mechanisms of ion channel regulation in health and disease as well as channel-drug interactions. Research Program Coordinator, DoD Programs Burlington, MA Campus
The Research Program Coordinator, DoD Programs (RPC) is responsible for project deliverables management and tracking across an active and growing program of Department of Defense (DoD) and other Defense and Security funded research contracts. This is a fast-paced position with a variety of programs to monitor and will require interaction with internal Northeastern and Kostas Research Institute researchers, the Northeastern University Research Enterprise Systems (NU-RES) staff, external university and industry subcontractors, and funding agency program managers and contracts officers. The successful candidate will have experience and familiarity with DoD acquisitions, contracting, financial management, and project support to research projects. Counselor/Psychotherapist Boston Main Campus
The Northeastern University Behavioral Health Counselor's primary responsibility is to provide psychological counseling services to Northeastern University students. These services will include psychological evaluation, crisis intervention and brief psychotherapy. The position may also involve outreach activities to the Northeastern University community and collaboration with various support services within the University. The counselor will be responsible for making appropriate referrals for psychopharmacological evaluation and external ongoing counseling, and for referral to emergency mental health services, when appropriate. Time spent amongst the various clinical service activities may shift in proportion to changes in service demands at any given time of the year. The counselor will often work closely with University academic departments and Student Affairs, and will collaborate with medical clinicians at the UHCS as appropriate, all in the interest of providing the best possible team-oriented health care to Northeastern students.
