About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Accounts, the Assistant Director will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and upgrading of the multicurrency billing system (currently Financial Force) This position will create E bills for all students attending NU international campuses. The Assistant Director will track and account for all discounts and scholarships and ensure they are applied appropriately to the bills. This position will partner with the Finance Office, Canada campus Deans and appropriate colleges to track all revenue generated by the international campuses. The Assistant Director will also manage any collection activity associated with the international campuses including negotiations with vendors, approving pay plan agreements with students, providing metrics to the SFS Dean and other parties on outstanding receivables.


This position will be required to know and create all reports required by the countries where the campuses are located, including all billing and collection regulatory requirements in those countries. They will also be responsible for creating reports for NU offices such as Treasury, Finance and the colleges. They will the primary point of contact for the representatives at each campus and will be a resource on regulatory requirements for each country regarding government educational funding, funding delivery systems and international student aid. The Assistant Director will also be a resource for billing questions for students attending school at the international the campuses.

The Assistant Director will also work with partner offices such as the Registrar to ensure all systems are integrated for any international campus programs. This position will assist the Student Accounts team with any domestic billing which will include, Graduate, Undergraduate, Law and CPS invoicing.


  • 3-5 years of Student Accounts and Banner Student A/R experience
  • Financial Force experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong project management skills and ability to implement and manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Student A/R performance metrics
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong oral/written communication and analytical skills
  • Must be decisive and results oriented
  • Creative thinking skills and solutions-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse environment
