| Reporting to Director of Resources and Operations of the Lurie College of Education, receives work direction from the Director of Field Experience and with a dotted line of reporting to the Department Chairs for Teacher Education and Special Education, the Field Placement Coordinator will serve as the main point of contact for arranging student teaching placements for 300 to 400 candidates' field experience each semester. The coordinator works primarily with school district administrators, site principals, and mentor teachers to maintain positive school district-university relationships to support the quantity, quality, and variety of field placements needed such that SJSU remains a high priority for partner school districts. |
