The Department of World Languages and Literatures offers an M.A. degree in Spanish, B.A. degrees in Arabic and Spanish, and several minors. The department also offers certificate programs in Healthcare Spanish and Criminal Justice Spanish. In addition, we offer courses in American Sign Language (ASL), Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and a number of indigenous languages.

Visiting Professor: Lecturer in Armenian Studies Program

The Armenian Studies Program is looking for Henry S. Khanzadian Kazan Visiting Professors. This specially designed endowment allows the Armenian Studies Program to invite, for one semester each year, an internationally recognized scholar in contemporary Armenian affairs. The distinguished professor will teach a single course in Armenian Studies in the modern period (19th century or later) with an emphasis on the Armenian Genocide. In addition, the scholar will present three public lectures on a single topic; these will be published as a volume in the Kazan Armenian Studies series. |

The candidate will oversee procedures and protocols, lead planning and implementation of field and laboratory experiments, supervise sample processing, provide lab organization including inventory and ordering of supplies, lead the lab group in data management and statistical analysis, and conduct report writing. The candidate will arrange and schedule field work and manage student and volunteer contributions to lab and field work. |
