| The Department of Management at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an on-going basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications will only be good for the current academic year and will be closed effective May 31st. If you wish to be considered for the next academic year, you will need to apply to a new pool as it becomes available by June 15th. |

| Reporting to the Director of Student Health Services (SHS), the Nurse Practitioner works in the context of a group practice that emphasizes patient engagement over high volume. The incumbent reviews and interprets patient history; performs physical examinations; orders and reviews tests; evaluates, plans, and provides primary care predominantly for college students with common illnesses, injuries, seeking contraceptive care, or needing health maintenance. The incumbent collaborates with and guides the actions of Medical Assistants and Registered Nurses and some ancillary staff. The incumbent consults with other providers (psychiatrists) as needed and when health problems or conditions are not covered by protocols. The Nurse Practitioner enables improvement of both individual and team effectiveness by supporting the development and implementation of sustainable practices and protocols that foster student success and reflect the best of college health. |
