- 113K to 123K + 17% superannuation
This is a key role within the Enterprise Data Office, Data Transformation team, supporting the delivery of a complex portfolio of enterprise data initiatives at a critical point in the University’s data maturity journey.
As Senior Project Officer, you will lead defined pieces of work within the Data Transformation portfolio, taking responsibility for planning, coordination, and delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives. You will work closely with technical specialists, business stakeholders, and delivery partners to ensure outcomes are well governed, practical, and delivered to agreed expectations.
In addition to leading workstreams and project components, you will take ownership of core project administration and reporting for the Data Transformation stream. This includes tracking actions, managing schedules, preparing clear and accurate status reporting, and supporting governance and assurance activities. These responsibilities are central to delivery and are an expected part of the role.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy while working as part of a capable and collaborative Data Transformation team within the Enterprise Data Office. You will engage confidently with senior stakeholders, exercise sound judgement, and provide steady leadership to keep work progressing and risks visible.
This position suits someone who is comfortable leading work, accountable for outcomes, and willing to be hands on when required. You bring a practical mindset, resilience, and a constructive approach to working in a complex and evolving environment.

Who you are
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of the key project management process groups, including initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
- Possesses foundational knowledge of current project management methodologies and practices.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships as well as working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with experience in managing multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines, prioritising workload appropriately.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and with initiative to identify, analyse and resolve administrative issues ensuring effective outcomes and process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills with strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce high quality of work accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and collaboratively within and across teams.
- Advanced level of computer literacy with sound skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint, and familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar application, including experience with database management, and website maintenance.
