Why Your Role Matters
As a Digital Content Officer, you'll shape and refresh Future Student web content to improve conversion and overall performance. Using a search first approach, you’ll ensure content aligns with best practice and supports UNSW’s admissions transformation linked to upcoming academic changes.
This is a 2‑year fixed term role (hybrid), reporting to the Future Students Marketing Lead.
Main Responsibilities
Overall, the position’s focus is content optimisation and web performance. You will be responsible for:
- Contributing actively to the Marketing & Content team—delivering customer centric service, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Writing and publishing web content aligned with technical, legal, and brand standards
- Supporting the Content & Marketing Specialist and Content Architect on the academic calendar transformation work plan
- Coordinating content development: search insights, fact‑checking, sourcing, and crafting compelling copy for Future Student audiences
- Publishing via Adobe Experience Manager and UNSW sites, leveraging automation tools (content & experience fragments)
- Monitoring and reporting on web performance metrics to drive ongoing optimisation
Who You Are
You’re looking for someone who is organised with great writing skills, looking to kick off their career and coming with:
- Previous experience in web content editing and optimisation (ideal)
- Experience in digital agencies, higher education, and/or premium brands would be highly regarded
- Understanding of digital content systems and automation; experience with AEM, Wrike, Trello, SEMRush, Siteimprove, or Figma is a plus
- Understanding of SEO principles
- High attention to detail, organisation, and time management
- Strong relationship building skills and stakeholder engagement experience
Whilst you might see this role advertised more broadly, the position will be based in Sydney, NSW (Kensington Campus is the home office). Candidates will need to have full working rights – this role is not available for sponsorship.
