Why Your Role Matters
In this newly-created and pivotal role, the Senior Administrative Officer will play a key role within the School of Engineering and Technology, currently our largest School at UNSW Canberra. You will deliver top-tier administrative support to faculty, staff, and students, significantly enhancing the school's overall efficiency and effectiveness. The role reports to the School Manager and has four direct reports.
Who You Are (skills and experience):
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in an administrative role (higher education experience highly desirable but not a prerequisite).
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, influence and guide a team.
- Highly advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to plan, organise and co-ordinate projects and tasks.
- Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to understand and communicate financial information and monitor budgets.
