- The VET Adviser provides high-level technical expertise and input in the area of VET policy development, reform and/or training
- 30 to 40 days of input until 30 August 2023, with the possibility of extension
- Remote input, with possible travel to Vietnam
Australia, through Aus4Skills under Aus4Vietnam, is supporting Vietnam to build the human resource capacity it needs to take advantage of emerging economic opportunities, achieve long term development, and respond to and recover from COVID-19. Aus4Skills includes the prestigious Australia Awards Scholarships as well as Promoting Industry Linkages with Vocational Education and Training; Capacity Building for Higher Education; and to be established Vietnam Australia Centre.
The VET Adviser/s provides high-level technical expertise and input in the area of VET policy development and reform and/or logistics sector training for the design, implementation and reporting of activities under the VET component.
They will provide high level and informed strategic advice and input on Aus4Skills’ VET activity in an accurate, timely and reliable manner, including advice for continual improvement and innovation.

You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in education, vocational education and training, logistics or related area or equivalent professional experience
- Substantial senior professional experience in an industry-led VET policy-making or college setting.
- In-depth understanding of the Australian model of industry-led VET in logistics, transport, and maritime.
This position is classified as Discipline Category C/Job Level 4 under the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Adviser Remuneration Framework.
