Reporting to the Manager Locomotive Maintenance, this role has key accountability for the daily asset management of the locomotive fleet and is responsible for the delivery of efficient and cost-effective locomotive maintenance services through the effective management of the maintenance contracts.
As the key interface between Pacific National and our service providers, you’ll be expected to develop internal and external relationships in order to maximise maintenance and operational outcomes with minimal disruption to the locomotive fleet and train operations.
This is a 6 month secondment opportunity, only available to current Pacific National employees. While this position is required to support the Queensland diesel fleet, the proposed working location is negotiable.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role, or proven commercial experience suited to the accountabilities of this role
Candidates will ideally possess the following skills and experience:
Demonstrable contract management experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people internally and externally
Strong stakeholder management skills including negotiating, facilitation and influencing
Working knowledge of the rail industry, the rail legislation and rail safe working practices is advantageous
