Reporting to the Head of Project Delivery, this position will have key accountability for leadership of the PMO function and to deliver capital project and portfolio management methodologies that ensure our capital programs of work are executed safely, to plan and in a cost-effective manner.
This is a pivotal role tasked with the set-up of our new Program Management Office, so you’ll be expected to lead change and implement a best-practice model enabling effective governance and a standardised approach with a key focus on driving capital project planning and delivery excellence across our business.
With two direct reports, you will be expected to provide technical and thought leadership in an inclusive and collaborative manner, creating an environment that fosters a high-performing and engaged team.
In order to be successful in this role, you’ll need to build and maintain meaningful business relationships, collaborating to develop and implement a capital program management model and capability.
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience including:
- Prior experience in leading a Program or Portfolio Management Office function
- Proven background in establishing and implementing project and portfolio management standards, systems and processes
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business Management or other related discipline
- Background in transport, heavy industry, infrastructure or logistics highly regarded, but not essential
