The Resource Scheduling Specialist, whether focussed on assets, labour or both, is to ensure that resources are available to support effective delivery of service for customers as per the agreed plan and contract. The Resources Specialist will act on the current resources, whilst simultaneously making adjustments and extending the planning horizon.
Key responsibilities include:
Schedule crew tasks, vehicles and accommodation across the time horizon up to 48 hours for optimal business performance;
Plan locomotive and wagons maintenance activities within the time horizon of 24 hours for optimal business performance;
Consult with stakeholders to ensure the allocation of crew and tasks meet operational requirements;
Switch from plan maintenance to plan recovery when disruptive events happen;
Developing a resources program and allocating crew or assets to daily work plans.

Proven analytical and reporting skills;
Strong customer focus and ability to build strong relationships with the crew and business leaders
Experience in resource planning, rostering, allocating or scheduling is highly desirable;
You will be a confident negotiator with a desire to build your career in logistics!
