Aurizon’s Gracemere depot is part of our Network Group which is responsible for providing, maintaining and managing access to the 2,670 kilometre Central Queensland Coal Network (CQCN) and associated rail infrastructure.
We are experiencing an exciting time within this depot and are looking to recruit new employees with a strong safety focus into our teams.
About the roles:
Signalling Electrician- Suitable qualified signalling electricians, holding QLD Electrical Licence are wanted to carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of all signalling equipment. Within an 8 week cycle his role will see you working an 8 day fortnight dayshift for 4 weeks, then nightshift and callout for 4 weeks within an 8:6 roster. Minimal travel, reasonable OT required.
Points & Crossing Welder- Ideally you will hold a Cert III Engineering (Fabrication) and have experience in thermite welding as you ensure our assets remain safe and continue to operate to our performance standards. Working a 9-day roster 0630-1530 you will be able to demonstrate your skills in the knowledge of defects and fault finding. Minimal travel, reasonable OT required.
Rail Infrastructure Worker, Level 4- This role sees you leading workgroups in day-to-day operations as they undertake track maintenance. Ideally holding some machinery, thermite welding ticket and experience in the rail industry, you must be able to demonstrate your experience supervising workgroups. Those that hold Cert III Rail Infrastructure, or a HiRail Ticket will be strongly considered. Working the same roster as the Points Welder with minimal travel, reasonable OT required.
Please note with all of these roles, a reasonable amount of OT is expected. Also successful completion of psychometric testing, reference checks, medical and driver history checks is mandatory to be considered. These are not FIFO roles.
