Reporting to the Facilities Manager – SA, you will project manage capital procurement and engineering projects from concept through to completion. The projects are critical to improving the efficiency and sustainability of facilities and infrastructure in support of the submarine business.
You will assist the maintenance team with general technical advice on maintenance engineering issues and problem solving breakdowns when required.
This position is Located in Osborne SA.
Desirable competencies and experiences
Demonstrated expertise in providing technical support, project support and project management in respect to the development of facility requirements
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
The ability to coordinate and manage both internal and external resources and contractors to ensure the safe and successful delivery of infrastructure projects
Demonstrated expertise in project managing facility projects also ensuring full legislative and safety compliance
The ability to provide technical assessments for solutions
Demonstrated expertise in technical decision making with respect to elements of facility design and fit for purpose solutions
The ability to develop project scope and liaise with engineers and other technical stakeholders
The ability to derive technical solutions for stakeholders
The ability to project management to ensure projects are delivered within schedule and meet cost and sustainability boundaries.
Engineering Degree qualified preferably within the electrical or mechanical field.
You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills along with a logical approach to problem solving. Your strong conceptual ability and well developed technical analysis skills will enable you to apply the appropriate tools, systems and methodologies to this role. To be considered for this opportunity, we do require an expert who can also display exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities as well outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
Eligibility and Requirements
The successful candidate must provide ASC with a current National Police Clearance prior as well as be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Access of protected US Defence Technology will be taken into account in assessing an applicant's suitability for this role.
