About the Opportunity
Workforce Planning Data Analyst will be supported by the Workforce Planning Team to plan, schedule and support various projects within ASC. They will be involved in making workforce recommendations, influencing key business decisions, and monitoring and assessing capability and capacity of the workforce to execute these programs. The position ensures that ASC has the right workforce information to make data driven resource decisions, and ensure ASC is able to meet its objectives by having the correctly skilled resources available at the right time

Responsibilities
Operating in a complex and diverse environment, this role requires a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to support ad-hoc requests. Primary focus will be on program strategic planning, however based on requirements you may be asked to build operational plans to execute short to medium term objectives. The role will also involve working closely with key stakeholders to ensure a successful operational delivery of these plans.
The role would also utilise your ability to gain data on and assess current employment market conditions to give ASC insight into available resources for future recruitment campaigns.
This role requires the ability to work to deadlines that are often very tight while ensuring quality outcomes are provided with effective consultation in rapidly changing environments and priorities.
Desirable competencies and experiences
- Workforce or Data Analysis related Business, Engineering, Finance Degree or Diploma
- Desirably at least 5 years or greater experience in Workforce planning or scheduling, however a graduate with the right skills and attitude could be a fit
- Ability to effectively explore issues and develop successful solutions
- Ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
- Very good interpersonal communication skills
- Previous experience working with and developing reporting and data analytics with a workforce planning focus
- Knowledge and experience working in Workforce planning
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and database management
- Skill in Reporting & Data presentation in Power BI is desirable
- Desirable knowledge in R or Python.
Eligibility and Requirements
The successful candidate must provide ASC with a current National Police Clearance prior as well as be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance, part of this eligibility requirement includes Australian Citizenship. Access protected US Defence Technology will be taken into account in assessing an applicant's suitability for this role.
