About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, this specialist role is to provide technical support across customised in-house software solutions and systems. This role is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of specific software in accordance with the ASC procedures and policies. A major responsibility will include liaising with external vendors to advise on software changes, requirements, and systems testing to facilitate accurate integration of the product into our key programs of work. An integral part of this role will also include working through all the phases of the software development lifecycle and utilising software tools such as DOORS, Clearcase, git, Jira and Visual Studio.
To be considered for this permanent full time opportunity it is imperative that one must display experience across the following technical areas:
- Proven ability to analyse requirements and implement software functionality based on an analysis
- The ability to investigate software issues and perform remediate actions
- The ability liaise and communicate effectively with external parties
- Proven ability to produce and review technical documentation and reports on software systems managed by ASC
Our ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills coupled with sound stake holder engagement capabilities. The preferred candidate will also have extensive expertise in multi-tasking and prioritising work and have the proven experience in meeting project technical requirements and project schedules. To be considered for this opportunity a degree qualification in either Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent is also required.
