What you’ll do
As a Senior Assets Finance Analyst, you will be a key member of the ERP Implementation Team, acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for asset finance processes during the migration to JD Edwards (JDE). You’ll collaborate across finance, operations, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration, data integrity, and process alignment.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence system design, reporting frameworks, and training programs that will shape the future of finance operations across Thiess and its acquired entities.
Key Responsibilities
Systems & Integration:
- Configure JDE to support asset accounting for MACA and PYBAR.
- Support training, and documentation development.
- Collaborate with internal and external technical teams to deliver solutions.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Lead development of financial and operational reports.
- Validate data migration outputs and ensure reporting accuracy.
Business Process Alignment:
- Analyse and document asset finance processes across entities.
- Identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
Training & Governance:
- Develop training tools and support functions for MACA/PYBAR.
- Provide hypercare support post go-live.
Leadership & Communication:
- Engage with senior stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.
- Communicate project progress and challenges effectively.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
You are a finance professional with a strong foundation in asset accounting and ERP systems, ready to contribute to a high-impact transformation project. With a background in commerce, finance, or accounting, you bring analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and collaborative energy to a dynamic team. Your experience in ERP implementations and your ability to work across functions make you a valuable asset in aligning processes and driving system improvements. You’re proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working independently or with diverse stakeholders. Flexibility to travel or be based in Perth is essential for success in this role.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- Strong understanding of asset finance processes and ERP systems (JDE preferred).
- Experience in ERP implementation or migration projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel to Perth (minimum one week/month) or be based in Perth.
