The Sterile Processing Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring the highest standards of instrument decontamination, sterilization, and distribution in support of surgical and procedural services. This leader collaborates closely with perioperative leadership, surgeons, anesthesia, and supply chain to ensure timely case readiness, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. This role provides direction for staffing, workflow optimization, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives across all areas supported by sterile processing, including the operating room, endoscopy, and procedural areas. The Sterile Processing Manager is accountable for regulatory readiness, adherence to AAMI and infection prevention standards, and maintaining a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and results-driven leader with strong operational and financial acumen, experience in high-volume surgical environments, and a commitment to developing high-performing teams.
