Job Description:
Direct and provide leadership for all areas of revenue production for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This includes Development (capital campaigns and major gifts, annual giving, team fundraising, communications, social/digital media, booster groups, suite/club and other premium seat contribution sales), ticket sales and operations, marketing (promotions, advertising, branding), attendance, merchandising, fan experience (parking, concessions, etc.) and the department’s relationship with Learfield Sports (Rocket Sports Properties) and the Aspire Group (Outbound Tickets sales and customer service group). Responsible for the setting and attainment of revenue and attendance goals, allocation of department resource and budgets in these areas. Serve as sport administrator for select sport programs as assigned. Serve as a member of the Athletic Department’s Sr, Leadership Team and Executive staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• Master's degree preferred
• . Seven-plus years' experience in collegiate athletics (preferably Division I) in areas of External Affairs (development/ticketing/marketing and sales/fan experience)
• Excellent sales skills (negotiation, closing, relationship building)
• Knowledge of and a commitment to NCAA rules compliance
Communication and other skills:
• Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Must work well with others (internal and external)
• Leadership/team building skills are essential
• Must be able to balance multiple tasks
