The Adjunct Phlebotomy Instructor at South Louisiana Community College (SoLAcc) is responsible for delivering exceptional education and training to students pursuing careers in Phlebotomy. The Cosmetology instructor is responsible for providing an effective learning environment for every student through well-prepared classes. The instructor will share responsibilities for managing the clinic floor. The instructor will follow state approved course syllabi for each area of instruction. The instructor is also responsible for maintaining accurate academic records in a computerized learning management system. The records include attendance, grades, and class/course syllabus for each class taught.

The technician is responsible for testing vehicle emissions for residents in the five LDEQ service areas and will assist with testing procedures for motor vehicle inspection station personnel using the emissions inspection software. The technician will also be responsible for the day-to-day operation, including scheduling appointments, testing vehicles, reporting test outcomes and providing excellent customer service.

This position will monitor students in the clinical areas, teach theory in classroom, and demonstrate clinical skills in the simulation laboratory. Additional responsibilities include assessing courses, serving on college committees, participating in extracurricular activities, community service, and professional development. Faculty may be required to teach evenings and weekends as well as on-line, dual enrollment, and service learning courses.
