Director of Purchasing, Payment Services and Property Control SOWELA – Lake Charles
Under the general direction of the Controller, provide strategic guidance and leadership in the areas of purchasing, payment services, and property control in alignment with the vision, mission, and goals of the College. Instructor - Sterile Processing (9 Month) SOWELA – Jennings
The Sterile Processing Faculty is responsible for teaching sterile processing courses at the postsecondary level (but at less than the baccalaureate) to students who have graduated high school or earned a GED. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, leading, and moderating classroom discussions, facilitating online activities and communication, and administering and grading examinations and assignments. Demonstrates and teaches patient care techniques in the classroom, simulation laboratory, and clinical sites to sterile processing students and is an expert in sterile processing practices with knowledge of professional scope and standards of practice. Able to rely on evidence-based practice guidelines to plan and accomplish teaching goals. May lead and direct the work of others. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Executive Director of Institutional Advancement SOWELA – Lake Charles
The Executive Director of Institutional Advancement serves on the Chancellor’s leadership team and collaborates with others in the community to increase and maintain visibility and fundraising for SOWELA and the SOWELA Foundation. The scope of work entails leading campaigns, programs, projects, events, and activities in support of the college, the Chancellor, the Foundation, and the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The Executive Director’s attention to fundraising efforts is critical because one of the major goals of this role is to raise funds to support the Foundation’s programs and provide scholarships and grants. The Executive Director develops and administers the college’s institutional initiatives including public relations, marketing, promotions, and fundraising, both internally by working with students, faculty, staff, and externally by networking with alumni, community members, and business and industry representatives.
Program Specialist DELGADO – Maritime and Industrial Training
The Program Specialist is primarily responsible for acting as liaison between the Maritime & Industrial Training Center and all clients, in any capacity that is needed, including discerning student grant eligibility requirements. This person is also first contact for all efforts related to customized training, including student recruitment and company training specification requests for IWTP, Rapid Response, commercial training and any alternative funding programs the college may require. Executive Director for Maritime Center of Excellence Fletcher – Houma
Executive Director for Maritime Center of Excellence will have the opportunity to imagine the future of maritime education and training through development and implementation of a new campus serving the State of Louisiana and a consortium of higher education and business and industry partners. The Executive Director will lead a collaborative approach to developing programs and trainings that provide opportunities for a diverse student body to access opportunities in the maritime industry. In developing the campus, the Executive Director will take advantage of partnering with the maritime industry to understand emerging workforce needs and opportunities. These include areas such as automation, unmanned operations, updates in ship safety and security (including cybersecurity), logistics, and environmental protection.
Help Desk Support Representative DELGADO – City Park
The individual in this position participates as a primary help desk support liaison between the end-users and Information Technology support teams, providing support by accurately gathering details of reported incidents or requests through various intake methods, and taking appropriate steps to resolve them in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
