Duties and Responsibilities: 
Reports directly to the Director of Professional Development and Director of Communications
Performs a variety of planning and project management functions for Communications and Professional Development Offices.

This position will assist the professional development office with the LCTCS Annual Conference and Student Leadership Conference. Duties include:
• acting as liaison to guest speakers,
• prepare and send invoices,
• update conference webpage,
• develop email communications regarding conference events,
• ordering supplies,
• tracking registrations,
• conference setup, and
• pickup and delivery of materials related to professional development.

This position will assist the public relations office with digital communications management. Duties include:
• social media management including content creation,
• post management,
• social listening,
• creating communications plans in the colleges’ communications software,
• assist with planning community college week, and
• compiles daily news from around the colleges.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education: 
Should be a full-time graduate student and maintain full-time status in order to retain eligibility for continued employment as a student worker.

***Verification of full-time student status must be furnished to the Human Resources office at the beginning of each Spring and Fall semester.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week during the regular semesters and up to 29 hours per week during the summer semester (excluding finals week)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must have proof of motor vehicle insurance
  • Must be able to use the standard Microsoft Office programs
  • Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Sign experience preferred
