The Early Learning Center is seeking Assistant Teachers to join our NAEYC accredited team. This full-time position is an academic year position (August-May) and includes a comprehensive benefit package including sick, vacation, and holiday pay as well as medical insurance and retirement opportunities. The responsibilities of this position include supporting teaching staff in supervision of children. Manage classroom supervision in absence of teaching staff. Develop end-of-day and Friday learning experiences for children in assigned classroom. Ensure sanitation requirements are completed at the conclusion of each day. Handle end-of-day communication with parents for children enrolled in wrap-around childcare. This is a 10 month position. Required: A minimum of 12 credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, or closely related field as defined in the State of Michigan Licensing Regulations for Child Care Centers R. 400.8122. or the equivalency as detailed in the State of Michigan Licensing Regulations for Child Care Centers R. 400.8122 (6). Upon appointment: Child & Adult CPR/First Aid certification and current enrollment in MiRegistry. Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, and pre-school age students |

Assistant Professor of Social Work

Teaching online and in-person primarily in the MSW program with opportunities to teach BSW curriculum in Big Rapids and Traverse City and other potential sites in Michigan. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. While supporting and encouraging research, Ferris State University is primarily a teaching university. We encourage applicants with substantial clinical experience who are interested in teaching and mentoring our next generation of social workers. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching, the ability to work effectively with both faculty colleagues and diverse student populations, and participation in other department/college and University academic activities. The start date of this position is August 2025 Required: Candidate must have an MSW from a CSWE accredited program. Candidate must have/or be eligible and apply for a Michigan Social Work License upon hire. Two years of successful higher education teaching experience. Two years of post-MSW clinical practice experience in the field. |
Title IX Coordinator Administrator

The Title IX Administrator (Coordinator) reports to the Dean of Student Life and has the primary responsibility of coordinating and implementing the University’s compliance efforts with Title IX, working closely with the Vice President of Student Affairs, Associate Chief Human Resources Officer, Director of Equal Opportunity, General Counsel, and other administrative leaders, and has no other duties that create a conflict of interest. The Title IX Coordinator leads and proactively influences University-wide Title IX planning, monitoring, reporting, grievance procedures, education, prevention, and training efforts. Required: Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related field. Relevant work Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in adult education, student affairs, higher education, social work, counseling, law/legal studies or related field. Three years of professional experience post-Bachelor's degree. Demonstrated professional experience related to Title IX. Demonstrated experience in managing complaints, conducting investigations, and/or effectively resolving cases in areas such as student conduct, legal offices, law enforcement, or related fields. |
