| The Marketing Department is seeking a qualified individual to teach a selection of undergraduate and graduate courses in Data Science & Analytics. The applicant should be able to teach an array of the required courses in the Business Data Analytics BS and the MS in Data Science & Analytics programs. Subjects include: Introduction to statistics, inferential statistics, applied linear models, applied statistical methods, calculus, programming, machine learning, visual data analytics, and data mining tools that include association rules, clustering, predictive analytics, text & web mining, and data warehousing and intelligence. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2026 at the earliest and January of 2027 at the latest. Required: Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate graduating prior to January 1, 2027 with a Ph.D. in statistics, applied statistics, data mining, data analytics, business data analytics, data science, or a closely related field. Experience in teaching statistics, data mining, data analytics, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related field in face-to-face, mixed delivery, or online environments at a college/university level. Industry, consulting, or research experience in statistics, data mining, data analytics, data science, and/or big data. Demonstrated research and publication background. |

Donor Events/Stewardship Specialist

| Reporting to the Manager of Stewardship and Donor Relations, the Donor Events Specialist/Stewardship Coordinator at Ferris State University is responsible for donor stewardship and implementation of the organization's events and special meetings, including; fundraising events, donor relations events, dinner parties, and President’s Box for football and hockey, etc. The Donor Events Specialist/Stewardship Coordinator will work closely with internal events constituents, including the Vice President for University Advancement and Marketing, Associate Vice Presidents, Major Gifts and Alumni, and Annual Giving teams. This Donor Events Specialist/Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for maintaining communication and tactical relationships among events stakeholders including other university departments, corporate and community partners, and event entities. In this role, the Donor Events Specialist/Stewardship Coordinator will interact with a variety of audiences including; donors, University leadership, Foundation, Alumni, advisory board members, and event sponsors. Facilitates completion of all proper paperwork (e.g., event checklists, expense tracking, etc.) according to business standards. This position will require working occasional nights and weekends. Required: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in donor relations and event management, or a combination of education and experience. |

| The College of Arts Sciences and Education at Ferris State University seeks a diverse group of outstanding applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of History position within the Humanities Department. Teaching will include undergraduate courses. Candidates are expected to foster a meaningful learning experience for our students, faculty are expected to be student oriented, advise, and integrate current technology into the learning environment. Additionally, faculty will participate in collaborative efforts to foster curricular efforts, participate in assessment of student learning, and further develop programmatic enhancement. Specifically, we expect the candidate to be willing to engage students outside the classroom, support and expand our existing academic initiatives, and be willing to mentor students beyond a traditional academic advising role. In support of teaching, candidates will engage in scholarly/professional activities and participate in department, college, and university committees. Off-campus and online teaching may be required.
