Adjunct Instructor - DCCL: IDSL 894 Practicum, Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) Multiple Locations
Ferris State University seeks qualified candidates to teach part-time in the Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) program. Instruction occurs on campus, at off-campus locations, and online. Course Assignment: IDSL 894 Practicum. Course description: Provides an independent, individual learning experience designed specifically to meet the learner’s professional goals. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Applications will be retained until vacancies arise, at which time qualified candidates may be contacted. This posting is for a 7 ½ week mixed delivery course – typically one face-to-face weekend (either in Michigan or Houston, Texas) followed by online instruction. The candidate(s) must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment and the duration of time performing services for Ferris State University. Please note, if you relocate after being hired to a state not listed above, your employment with Ferris will not continue. The anticipated start date of this position is January 2026 at the earliest and August 2026 at the latest. Required: Earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, or JD) in a discipline relevant to community college leadership. Significant administrative experience in a community college or relevant subject-matter expertise (e.g., organizational leadership, higher education policy, institutional effectiveness, or student success initiatives). Applicants must demonstrate substantial leadership or administrative experience at the mid- to senior level within a community college or comparable higher education institution, along with documented teaching experience in higher education.
Secretary Level 2 - College of Arts, Sciences and Education Big Rapids, MI 49307
The College of Arts, Sciences and Education seeks applicants for a Secretary Level 2. This position will support the delivery of academic functions within the college and provide primary support in the Social Work Department. The position will follow established college/departmental policies and procedures. The anticipated start date of this position is November 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent such as military technical training or business/technical schooling. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of work experience equals one year of education. Two years full-time secretarial work experience to include bookkeeping, supervisory responsibility, and public contact.
Adjunct Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences Fully Online/Remote (Adjunct Faculty)
To support the instructional needs of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department, the College of Pharmacy seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: Pharmacy; Pharmaceutical manufacturing; Regulatory affairs. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses within the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Regulatory Affairs Certificate Program, which is delivered fully online. The candidate must possess a commitment to engaging students in a virtual environment. Successful candidates will have the ability to translate complex regulatory and manufacturing concepts into accessible, applied learning experiences. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught 100% online. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment and the duration of the time performing services for Ferris State University. Please note, if you relocate after being hired to a state not listed above, your employment at Ferris will not continue. If you reside in Michigan, your position will be part of the Ferris Non-Tenure Track Faculty Organization (FNTFO). The anticipated start date of this position is October of 2025 at the earliest, and December of 2025 at the latest, allowing adequate time for course development in preparation for teaching during the Spring Semester. Required: Ph.D. ,PharmD, or MS in a related field. Minimum of three years of professional experience in either teaching regulatory affairs topics or employment within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the area of regulatory affairs.
Personal Counselor/Assistant Professor Grand Rapids, MI 49503
The Personal Counselor/Assistant Professor is a full time, tenure track, 12 month position. Personal Counselors are responsible for providing individual and group, short-term mental health counseling and crisis intervention for Ferris State University (FSU) students. This is an embedded position working at the KCAD Grand Rapids site. The position serves as the primary mental health provider for all Ferris Students taking classes in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area including KCAD, Ferris State P3 and P4 Pharmacy students, Ferris Grand Rapids students, Optometry students, and any other students taking classes through the Grand Rapids Success Hub. This position may also provide virtual services to Ferris students on the Big Rapids main campus as needed. Personal Counselors are tasked with providing outreach, education, consultation and training to students, faculty, and staff on mental health topics. As this embedded position is physically housed outside of Big Rapids, the selected candidate will be empowered to make changes and recommendations based on client’s unique needs and experiences at the Grand Rapids site. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong sense of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to operate as a part of a team, as well as independently. Required: Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and/or Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or comparable mental health professional degree. One year of demonstrated experience providing mental health therapy for clients with a wide range of psychological and emotional health concerns. Active license to practice in the state of Michigan. LMSW, LP, and/or LPC. LLMSW, LLP or LLC may be considered.

Clarifying course concepts, incorporating study skills, generating notes from course lecture/lab, preparing workshop materials, meetings with course faculty, meetings with the Program Coordinator, adhering to program policies, and keeping appropriate workshop records as instructed.
