Teach AAS degree level coursework in the College of Engineering Technology. Depending on qualifications, subjects taught could include manual drivelines, brakes, electrical, engines, steering and suspension, electronic fuel management, chassis electrical, automatic transmissions, heating ventilation and air conditioning, service area or automotive machining. A focus on student success is expected. Office hours are required with at least one hour for each class taught. Use of current technology is expected. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions, candidates must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Provide comprehensive supervision of 1-3 residence halls (typically two). Hall Directors recruit, train, supervise, and mentor residence hall staff, 6-17 Resident Advisors, 1-3 Senior Staff Advisors and 15-30 front desk and night security personnel; actively participate on departmental and university-wide committees, manage facilities, advise Hall Council; train RA staff to advise House Councils; coordinate programming/community development and provide overall leadership in the academic, social and emotional development of students. In addition, Hall Directors serve as conduct hearing officers recommending educational outcomes up to and including dismissal from the university. Required: Bachelor’s degree.
