The College of Engineering Technology is seeking adjunct instructors to teach Heavy Equipment courses. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. The candidates(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. For 100% online teaching positions: Courses are to be taught online. the candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. Required: Qualification by Credential: Master's Degree in Heavy Equipment or Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline OR a Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in Heavy Equipment or Automotive Engineering or related discipline. Qualification by Tested Experience: Bachelor's degree in Heavy Equipment Service Engineering Technology or Equivalent degree. Minimum of three years full-time experience in the Heavy Equipment Service field or teaching in a Heavy Equipment related setting, within the previous five years. The Community Advisor (CA) is a live-in, paraprofessional staff member of the Office of Housing and Residence Life. They are responsible for the safety and security of the community within East Campus Suites (ECS) or West Campus Apartments (WCA) as well as administrative tasks for multiple aspects of the community. Assistant Professor - Sales and Marketing (9-month, Tenure Track) Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Department is seeking a qualified individual to teach a selection of undergraduate courses in sales and marketing. The ideal candidate should be able to teach variety of sales related classes (e.g., Professional Selling, Sales Management, Advanced Selling, and Supply Chain Management) as well as other marketing classes such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Data Analysis, Sports Marketing, and Digital Marketing. Teaching graduate courses in sales might also be required. The candidate will participate in development and improvement of curriculum and curriculum delivery, assessment of student learning, service work including student engagement activities and committees, and engage in scholarly activities and professional development aligned with current and emergent programmatic needs. Dining Services is seeking hard working individuals to join a team of professionals dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. Several positions classified as part time continuing are available to assist in providing support in our retail, catering and residential food service operations, working up to 28 hours a week. Duties vary and could include greeting customers, processing meal plans, cash and credit card transactions utilizing a point of sales system, assisting with food production and service of food as needed. Individuals in this position will be exposed to all food types (ex. shellfish, peanuts, & fruit) in an environment where industrial strength cleaners are used. Work hours may vary, and you may be required to be on-call, work evenings, weekends and holidays. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Prior cashiering/retail/cash handling and/or food service experience is a plus. Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and ability to assist customers cheerfully.
