The Associate Vice President for Advancement & the Executive Director of the Ferris Foundation provides strategic leadership to a team of gift officers and annual giving professionals to advance Ferris State University’s philanthropic priorities by leading and developing a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and measurable fundraising success. The AVP partners with the VP of University Advancement & Marketing and the university advancement leadership team to establish comprehensive fundraising strategies and integrate best practices, while personally managing a portfolio of high-capacity donors. Additionally, the AVP fosters a culture of cross-campus engagement, collaborating with faculty, athletics, and key stakeholders to enhance donor participation and secure transformational and planned gifts that drive long-term institutional growth. Assistant Professor/Associate Professor - Primary Care- Michigan College of Optometry Big Rapids, MI 49307
Full-time, 12-month tenure-track faculty position. The successful applicant will assume duties in patient care and teaching in the clinic, classroom, and laboratories. The faculty member will be expected to develop in the areas of patient care, teaching/advising, scholarly/professional activities, and service. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising graduate professional students, participation in university and professional committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. The School of Design and Manufacturing invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Manufacturing Engineering Technology program. Assistant Professor - Criminal Justice Big Rapids, MI 49307
Ferris State University is seeking a well-qualified and experienced applicant for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to serve within the School of Criminal Justice. The responsibilities will include teaching courses in the School of Criminal Justice program both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the prospective faculty member will collaborate with faculty on curriculum development, perform academic advising, and serve on various levels of committee support of the University, College and Department. An adjunct instructor is needed to teach an undergraduate Finance course as part of Ferris State University's Prison Education Program at Thumb Correctional Facility in Lapeer, Michigan. This position requires face-to-face instruction at the facility. The course to be taught is FINC 322 Financial Management 1 - The environment, goals, and techniques of financial management; emphasizes both investment and financing decisions; incorporates control techniques including ratio analysis, budgeting, and forecasting; includes time value of money, bond and stock values, the use of operating and financial leverage, capital budgeting techniques, cost of capital, and basic information concerning international financial management. This posting is being used for face-to-face instruction, and the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Adjunct Faculty - Art History Grand Rapids, MI 49503
The Art History program at Ferris State University’s Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI seeks qualified candidates to teach Art History courses. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person at KCAD in Grand Rapids. The Art History Program serves students in all the art and design programs as well as Art History majors. 12-month tenure-track faculty position (Assistant or Associate Professor), which includes teaching and related responsibilities in the newly developing Dental Therapy program and serving as Program Director to provide operational and program oversight, development and maintenance of internal and external relationships, and mentorship and support of new faculty with their academic and scholarly activities.
