Director of Student Athlete Academic Success

The Director of Student-Athlete Academic Success at Ferris State University provides comprehensive academic support and leadership for student-athletes participating in the 17 NCAA and GLIAC/CCHA-sanctions sports. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, this position works closely with the Coordinator of Compliance and Student-Athlete Success and the Athletic Learning Specialist to ensure academic excellence and NCAA compliance for over 400 student-athletes. The position will support students across multiple varsity sports, monitor academic progress, and assist with course registration and degree planning. The Director will coordinate faculty progress reports (EAB), manage academic feedback systems for academically vulnerable students, and work with the registrar’s office in timely and accurate reporting of eligibility certification. The position will collaborate with coaches, faculty, and campus departments to promote student-athlete success and retention while connecting student-athletes with available campus resources at FSU and maintaining compliance with NCAA, GLIAC/CCHA, and institutional regulations. Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Division I or II intercollegiate athletics department. Demonstrated understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as it relates to academic eligibility. |
Adjunct Instructor 1- Project Management

The candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Project Management classes as needed. Faculty may be required to teach utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in Project Management or related field OR Any Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Project Management. Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience or professional Project Management experience. |
