The School of Education seeks candidates to teach on a semester-by-semester, as needed basis, in the areas of elementary and secondary education. The instructor is expected to use high-quality instructional strategies, integrate theory and practice, and support student success in coursework and clinical experiences. Candidates must be available to teach in person (main or other campuses) or synchronously online during the hours of 9 am- 5 pm, with occasional evening courses. This is a pooled position. One or more candidates may be hired as needed to teach courses on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. Adjunct Instructor - Information Security and Intelligence (Dual Enrollment Programs)	Metro Detroit	31 Jan 2027
Seeking qualified applicants for a pooled, part-time Instructor position in Information Security and Intelligence to teach dual enrollment (high school students) courses in Detroit, Michigan. Courses will be delivered face-to-face at 1201 Woodward and are planned to meet three days per week (tentatively MWF, between 12pm-3pm) during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Instructors will teach one or more of the following courses: ARTI 113 – Introduction to AI; ISIN 121 – Digital Security Awareness; CLOU 131 – Cloud Computing Fundamentals; and ISIN 209 – Network Security. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality instruction in a face-to-face format; maintaining academic rigor consistent with university standards; assessing and improving student learning outcomes; and collaborating closely with program faculty. Instructors are encouraged to participate in training and professional development through the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning and are expected to engage in ongoing communication to ensure alignment with departmental curriculum and expectations. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired on a semester-by-semester basis as instructional needs arise. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses or FSU approved sites. Adjunct Instructor - DCCL: IDSL 825 Foundations of Effective Leadership, Doctorate in Community College Leadership	Multiple Locations
Ferris State University seeks qualified candidates to teach part-time in the Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) program. Instruction occurs on campus, at off-campus locations, and online. Course Assignment: IDSL 825 Foundations of Effective Leadership. Examines various leadership theories and the relationship between leadership styles and organizations, focusing on the optimal “fit” among an individual leader, a leadership role, and an organizational environment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Applications will be retained until vacancies arise, at which time qualified candidates may be contacted. This posting is for a 7-1/2-week mixed-delivery course – typically one face-to-face weekend (either in Michigan or Houston, Texas), followed by online instruction. The candidate(s) must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment and the duration of time performing services for Ferris State University. Please note that if you relocate after being hired to a state not listed above, your employment with Ferris will not continue. Ferris State University is seeking applications for a Leadership Giving Administrator for Athletics to identify, cultivate, and develop relationships with donors to secure funding for Ferris State University Athletics and the University. This position will have a dual reporting structure, reporting to the Associate Vice President for Advancement within the Ferris Foundation and to the Director of Athletics at Ferris State University. Required: Bachelor’s degree. Three or more years of fundraising, account management, sales and/or related work in relationship building.
