Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Pharmacology (12 mos. Tenure-track) Multiple Locations
This is a tenure-track, 12-month position for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Pharmacology in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy. We encourage individuals with a strong commitment to student-centered education and the teacher/scholar model to apply. Teaching responsibilities will include core courses in the foundations of pharmacotherapy and the integrated pharmacotherapy course sequence at both Big Rapids and Grand Rapids campus Candidates will also be expected to provide academic support and coordinate team-taught courses. Additionally, the successful candidate may teach an elective course in their area of expertise. Engagement in individual or collaborative research projects, as well as scholarship involving student participation, will complement teaching responsibilities. Other duties will include contributing to the department, college, university, and profession through participation on committees, and providing professional advising and mentoring to students. Ongoing professional development will also be expected. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is June 2025 at the earliest and August 2025 at the latest. Required: Ph.D. in Pharmacology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences with emphasis in pharmacology. Evidence of research/scholarship related to area of specialty.
Assistant/Associate Professor of Fashion Studies (Tenure-track) Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice. Full time faculty members at KCAD teach 18 semester credit hours per academic year, typically 3 courses each fall and spring semester. As a KCAD faculty member, you will engage in three kinds of professional development: continuous improvement in teaching effectiveness, creative and/or scholarly contribution within your discipline, and a college service commitment that includes committee work and community engagement for the advancement of KCAD’s mission. You will actively advise students regarding their academic plan and progress as well as their co-curricular and post-graduation opportunities. The program prepares students for careers in the fashion industry through key studio classes integrating concept development, design, materials, garment construction, pattern-making, draping, drawing, digital technologies and research/development. Program includes fashion shows, community collaborations, a fashion lab, and support courses in General Education and Art History add broader context to the program; with an optional senior year experience at the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC. Teaching assignments will include but are not limited to: design process for fashion and function, construction, patternmaking, draping, and textiles, as framed by the program outline. The faculty member should form a bridge between the students' academic/studio learning and the profession; thus, applicants should demonstrate significant experience in apparel design/development and a continuing, active connection to the fashion design industry. Future instruction may include courses with a study away component. Courses are to be taught in person on KCAD’s campus in Grand Rapids, MI. Assistant/Associate Professor of Foundations – First Year Experience Program (Tenure-track) Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI, prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice. KCAD is seeking a full-time faculty for Foundations. The First Year Experience / Foundations program offers hands-on, integrative, studio-based courses utilizing both analog and digital formats. The program is currently seeking candidates to teach foundation courses. This position will start in August, 2025. Courses are to be taught in person on KCAD’s campus in Grand Rapids, MI. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Full time faculty members at KCAD teach 18 semester credit hours per academic year.
