Assistant Professor - Teacher Education	Big Rapids, MI 49307
The School of Education seeks applications for an Assistant Professor to teach foundational and methodological courses in elementary, secondary, and/or early childhood education. Duties will include attending department meetings, advising early childhood, elementary and secondary education students, and participating in accreditation process, etc. Teaching on-campus and off-campus courses, face-to-face, synchronous and asynchronous online courses will be based on department need. Courses are to be taught in person on Ferris State University's Main Campus. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The start date of this position is August 2025. Required: Ed. D. or Ph.D. in education or closely related field completed by Aug. 1, 2025. Minimum of 18 credits in elementary, secondary, or early childhood education at a master's level or higher. Teacher certification or ability to become certified. 3-5 years of experience teaching birth to grade 12. (Two years part-time is equivalent to one year full-time.).

The Architecture and Facility Management Department seeks applications for a part-time, temporary faculty position. Responsibilities involve teaching one or more courses in the following degree programs: AAS in Architectural Technology or BS in Architecture and Sustainability. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in architectural design, construction detailing and documents utilizing AutoCAD and Revit, digital architectural presentation utilizing software such as Revit, Formit, Autodesk 3DS Max, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, will be considered. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is January 2025 at the earliest and August 2025 at the latest. Required: For 100 and 200 level courses: A Bachelor of Science in Architecture. For 300 and 400 level courses: A Bachelor or Master of Architecture, or a Bachelor of Science in Architecture plus a master’s degree in a related field such as building science, design studies, landscape architecture, commensurate with the topic being taught.
