The Student Success Coach position, funded through the MDE-OST grant, is a valuable opportunity within Ferris State University's work-study program. The successful candidate will work closely with K-12 students at partner institutions during the summer semester, aiming to enhance academic achievement, foster personal growth, and promote holistic student success. This position offers a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal development of K-12 students while gaining valuable experience in education, youth development, and community engagement. This position requires a current driver’s license. Work hours will vary. Student Success Coaches will work on average 20-25 hours per week.

At the Starbucks location on campus, Barista Trainees/Certified Baristas learn customer service and signature drinks through modules and hands on experience with Certified Baristas, Barista Trainers (Shift Leaders) and managers. Assistant Professor of Architecture (Term Appointment, Non-tenure-track). Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) prepares artists and designers to have an impact through practice. Full-time, term-appointment faculty members teach 18 semester credit hours per academic year, and engage in three kinds of professional development: continuous improvement in teaching effectiveness, creative and/or scholarly work, and service. KCAD faculty also advise students regarding their academic plan and progress as well as their co-curricular and post-graduation opportunities. The KCAD M.Arch was established in 2014 and achieved NAAB accreditation in 2019. Situated within an art and design college, the program emphasizes architecture’s cultural significance and values interdisciplinary connections and community engagement. Its curriculum is structured around a unique sequence of immersive seminars paired with design studios. The program is seeking a term-appointment full-time faculty member with a strong, demonstrated ability as a design studio instructor, and with the expertise to teach courses in other parts of the curriculum such as design representation, environmental systems, and/or thesis research. The term of the appointment is for the 2024-2025 academic year, with the possibility of renewal. Courses are to be taught in person on KCAD’s campus in Grand Rapids, MI. Also required are valid certifications in CPR, AED and First- AID. Minimum 1 year of previous work experience developing and maintaining strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes at the intercollegiate level.
