| Ferris State University is seeking a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education who can demonstrate excellence in teaching special education and other related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the School of Education. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and possess the ability to deliver face-to-face and online instruction at both the main campus and other locations. This successful candidate will also advise and mentor education students throughout their program. The department is especially interested in an individual committed to teaching, scholarship, and service in a highly collaborative environment that is dedicated to the preparation of the next generation of educators to be adaptive teachers and learners, problem-solvers, and inspirers of learning. The anticipated start date of this position is January 2026 or August 2026 at the latest. Required: Master's degree in education or a closely related area with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in special education. Certification in special education or eligible for certification in special education. Three years of successful special education teaching experience in a P-12 setting. Two years of part-time is equivalent to one year of full-time. |
