The incumbent is responsible for providing expert financial aid counseling and guidance to students and families regarding financial aid eligibility, cost of attendance, borrowing and debt management, and related matters. The position requires maintaining a high level of expertise in institutional, state, and federal financial aid regulations and programs, with the ability to communicate complex financial aid concepts effectively to a diverse range of constituents, including students, parents and families, faculty and staff, and executive leadership. The incumbent develops, implements, and manages policies, procedures, and processes that ensure the effective and compliant administration and distribution of financial aid resources. This role focuses on leveraging operational efficiencies and maximizing available funds to support institutional enrollment goals, student recruitment and retention, and overall student success. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F1 EAD’s, OPT, H1B, etc.
Student Activities Specialist	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of Student Life, assist in the overall coordination of functions and activities within the Center for Student Involvement. Work independently to coordinate the functions of Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), oversee the application, distribution and processes of the Student Activity Fund (SAF), plan and implement small-scale daytime drop-in events and engagement opportunities for students, coordinate campus use of outdoor grounds and related spaces in accordance with university policies and procedures, and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages student involvement, engagement, and connection to the university community. This is a fully in-person position.
Degree Works Specialist	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Primary responsibilities include programming for Ferris' degree audit platform, MyDegree (Degree Works by Ellucian). This position scribes curricular changes, generates reports, reviews curriculum proposals, and provides customer service related to MyDegree. This is a full-time, continuing position. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H-1 B, etc. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Public Safety Dispatcher	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Under the direction of the Director of Public Safety, this position is responsible for the Public Safety communication system, monitors campus-wide security cameras, maintains after-hours access control, and performs a variety of police records support functions, some of which require special certification. These positions will have a 4-day work week and a 10-hour workday, with a shift differential of $.30 per hour, as defined in the CTA/MEA contract. The work hours for these positions are from 3:00 pm – 2:00 am, with a one-hour unpaid lunch period. The work schedules for these positions are as follows: Dispatcher 1/Week 1 – Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Dispatcher 2/Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Week 2 – Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Assistant Hockey Coach	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Recruit and coach student athletes in the hockey program. Coordinate recruitment activities to ensure NCAA compliance in student contacts and recruiting budget. Assist with a variety of duties related to the hockey program. Required: Bachelor’s degree.
