Provide administrative leadership and management of student recruiting activities for the University’s academic programming. This position will engage in a variety of recruiting activities, including regional and national travel, high school visits, career fairs, portfolio reviews, and recruitment events. The position also includes providing general information about academic programs, and ensuring prospective students are informed about admissions processes, housing, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities. The Admissions Recruiter will help meet enrollment goals and act as the primary contact for prospective students. This position will be positioned in Metro Detroit. This role reports to TBD. Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Valid driver’s license required. Work experience in an aspect of recruitment, marketing, public relations, and/or financial aid. Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills which include attention to detail and accuracy. Must be proficient with information multiple forms of technology and its applications for delivery and management of student recruitment. |

The Assistant Manager assists the Manager with day-to-day operations of both campus stores (Big Rapids & Grand Rapids), including the administration of the textbook and course material ordering program offered in partnership with the contracted online textbook partner. The Assistant Manager assists in the administration of operational policies, procedures and processes along with merchandise receiving, data entry, merchandising, and the stocking of products. This position assists with the training and supervision of student and part-time staff and is responsible for both store activities in the absence of the Campus Store Manager. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Equivalency for education is two years of work experience equals one year of education. At least one year of prior experience in a retail environment with a supervisory role including sales, cash handling, point of sale systems, inventory and merchandise management experience. |

Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Valid driver’s license. Custodial/Janitorial work experience in a commercial-hospital-school environment, in a commercial cleaning service, or completion of the Ferris State University JANUS (custodial) training. Demonstrated experience with correct operation of a variety of commercial custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaner, automatic scrubber, high speed burnisher, single disc scrubber, carpet extraction/shampoo equipment or other essential or similar custodial equipment. |
Adjunct Instructor 3 - Construction Management

We are seeking a 3-year full-time temporary faculty member (9-month contract) to teach face-to-face in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS, Civil Engineering Technology AAS, Construction Management BS and Facilities Management BS. The role involves teaching lectures and/or labs in topics related to construction, facilities management, and virtual design and construction. The faculty member is expected to focus on student success, maintain office hours, and integrate current technology in their teaching. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. |
