Senior Laboratory Trainer Big Rapids, MI 49307
Classroom and small group instruction for proper laboratory procedures with the Institute for Construction Education (ICET). Monitor written and practical certification examinations. This position is also responsible for developing changes to the laboratory curriculum. These are pooled, part-time positions. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. The position will not exceed 28 hours per week. The anticipated start date of these positions is Fall 2026 (preferably August) and Spring 2027 (preferably January). Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certifications appropriate to program assignment, such as Michigan Certified Aggregate Technician, Michigan Certified Bituminous Laboratory Technician, Level 1 and/or Michigan Certified Density Technician. Five years experience working in the road construction industry related to quality control of highway construction materials. Two years experience in a classroom laboratory setting as a trainer/instructor/monitor.

Pharmacy Intern (Student Position) Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Pharmacy Intern supports the department’s health informatics and medication-use research initiatives by assisting with the management and analysis of electronic health care data. This role contributes to projects focused on prescribing patterns, healthcare interventions, and medication-related outcomes. The position also provides student pharmacists with hands-on experience applying clinical knowledge to real-world health data and research workflows. This is a supervised, student-level training position for pharmacy students interested in research, informatics, or public health. Interns work under the direction of faculty investigators and research staff, with structured tasks and increasing responsibility as skills develop. Interns do not make independent clinical decisions but provide meaningful project support. Work is conducted under direct supervision, with training provided in data privacy, research ethics, and proper data handling procedures.
Assistant Professor - Sales and Marketing (9-month, Tenure Track) Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Department is seeking a qualified individual to teach a selection of undergraduate courses in sales. The ideal candidate should be able to teach various sales-related courses (e.g., Professional Selling, Sales Management, and Advanced Selling). The candidate will participate in developing and improving curriculum and curriculum delivery, assessment of student learning, service work including student engagement activities and committees, and engage in scholarly activities and professional development aligned with current and emergent programmatic needs. The candidate will assist in growing and expanding the sales program. Faculty members have professional responsibilities, including advising students, participating in committees, keeping regularly posted office hours, professional development, and participating in traditional functions with academic significance. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. Faculty members may be required to teach off-campus and/or online. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest.
