| HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Education beginning in the fall semester of 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching education courses and will be involved in course and program design and review, assessment, and program improvement in the Early Care and Education Associate in Applied Science (AAS)
Early Childhood Care and Education Certificate, Early Childhood-Elementary Education Associate in Arts (AA) programs Education- General (AA). Full-time faculty members teach 15 credit hours each fall and spring semester with small class sizes. However, release time is allocated to support the administrative functions associated with the program director’s workload; thus, there is a reduction or elimination of a teaching load while overseeing the program.
There is potential to teach additional courses each semester and during the summer term for pay in addition to the base salary. The position will be based on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus and will be expected to teach some courses on-campus in Harrisburg, PA, and some courses remote (via Zoom) and/or asynchronous online based on enrollment needs. Full-time faculty are responsible for teaching, student academic advising, professional development, and service to the college and the department, which includes serving on committees, participating in assessment of curriculum, and supporting equity-minded student success initiatives.
