Buslink VIVO has been contracted by JKC Australia LNG Pty Ltd as the workforce bus transport provider for the construction of the Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities. 


An exciting position has become available for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join Buslink VIVO; a partnership between Transdev and Buslink.




As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, this position will see you ensure all vehicles, including the fleet of buses and ancillary vehicles are thoroughly maintained through regular repairs, services and safety checks.




  • Road testing of vehicles as required.
  • Service and maintenance of machinery and equipment relevant to the operation of the fleet.
  • Attending vehicle and/or equipment breakdowns, both on and off site.
  • You are required to do after hours on call duties.
  • Close liaison with Depot Marshals to ensure vehicle requirements are met during peak operational periods.
  • Other relevant duties as directed by Line Manager.



  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, read and write general correspondence.
  • Ability to present information verbally in one-on-one situation and small groups.
  • Basic numeracy skills, having the ability to use these skills with weight, volume and distance measurements.
  • General knowledge of Work Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.




  • Hold a current “MR” class driver’s licence.
  • Certificate 3 in Heavy Vehicle Road Transport.
  • Experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.
  • Ability to work a flexible rotating roster.
  • Own tools.
  • Electrical Experience.
  • Basic Computer knowledge.






  • Bus & Coach experience.
  • Fork Lift Licence.
  • First Aid Certificate.
