The Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a Technical Officer (MNM Clinical Learning Environments) to support teaching and learning across the Nursing and Midwifery Clinical Learning Environments. The position ensures that simulated learning spaces are fully prepared and maintained for a wide range of teaching activities that enhance clinical skill development. Working closely with the Clinical Learning Environment Coordinator, the role supports the seamless delivery of sessions by preparing equipment, maintaining facilities and providing hands-on assistance to staff and students throughout learning activities.

This position provides a broad range of technical and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the simulation laboratories. Key responsibilities include setting up and calibrating equipment, preparing materials to meet required standards, supporting Clinical Learning Environment activities and completing pack down and cleaning to ensure spaces are ready for future sessions. The role also oversees supplies, maintains a safe and organised workspace and contributes to data collection and routine analysis. Attendance at meetings, training and activities across Victorian campuses may also be required to support consistent practice and high-quality learning experiences.

We are seeking someone with a diploma level qualification or equivalent experience supported by strong analytical and technical skills. Success in the position is also strengthened by sound organisational capability and the ability to complete high-volume tasks with accuracy while applying effective technical methods and processes.

If you are excited by the opportunity to contribute to an engaging clinical education environment, we welcome your application and invite you to join a team dedicated to supporting the next generation of nurses and midwives.
