The Opportunity

The Vice-President (Operations) is a critical position, will provide strategic leadership to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Suzhou) in the delivery of Monash Suzhou’s strategy and operations and manage a high-performing and dynamic team driving the communications, HR, finance, health and safety, and other operational and administration functions in line with the University's policies and compliance framework.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need:

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Actively support the Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Suzhou) by contributing to strategic and operational planning to achieve significant organizational objectives and goals.
  • Stakeholder and Community Engagement: Develop and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders and establish extensive external networks to strengthen Monash Suzhou’s profile.
  • Operational Excellence and Leadership: Lead and be accountable for operations management, promoting a positive workplace and ensuring a service excellence culture.
  • International and Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Manage the opportunities associated with working within the China context and across international boundaries
