In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities act as amended in 2008, Section 504 of the rehabilitation act of 1973 and the Fair Housing Act, the Case Manager coordinates student accommodations and support services for students with disabilities. Reporting to the Director of Disability Services, this position works directly with students needing accommodations to enable equal access to Occidental’s academic programs, and provide support for students with various disabilities, including but not limited to: medical, psychological, and learning disabilities. In addition, in partnership with the Dean of Students Office, the Case Manager serves as a Student Success Advisor, and is a member of Oxy’s Care Team.

Field Research Assistant Los Angeles
The Vantuna Research Group at Occidental College is seeking experienced and enthusiastic AAUS scientific divers to assist with its extensive grant-funded research program. The VRG works on a variety of macro- and micro-scale research projects in the Southern California Bight. Our research program conducts fieldwork 2-5 days per week, year-round. It is essential that the applicant be able to accurately interpret and follow established guidelines and procedures and collect accurate data. Most field research is conducted out of King Harbor in Redondo Beach but other locations may include San Pedro, Dana Point, Oceanside, Santa Barbara, and San Diego. Applicants must be able to transport self and dive gear to these locations.
